Life in a Day: A Historic Cinematic Experiment

Free Technology for Teachers blog is one of my favorites to follow for a few reasons. First they do a good job of finding new and useful resources. Second, they share how they think it can be used in schools. Recently, I came across one of their new blog posts about Life in a Day. This project is asking people to film themselves on July 24 and upload the video to Youtube. Then the director, Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald are going to combine the footage into a movie and present it at the Sundance Festival. It's such a unique way for the world to share a story together. They do a much better job of explaining it over at Free Technology for Teachers, so visit their website to find out more
